Their children had weakened immune systems and different health disorders, and mothers had been looking for effective supplements and vitamins for the kids to improve their health.

One of our lovely clients Amanda shares her kids' health stories and how Childlife Essentials Vitamins help them below. Her children are Madison (2 and a half years old) and Paige (6 months old).
"Madison was diagnosed as failure to thrive at 4 months old as well as having severe colic and reflux. She failed to gain enough weight even on formula and with Gaviscon to help the reflux. The Gaviscon had other side effects such as constipation which was then treated with laxatives.
This was very hard on our family to try to deal with all of this as well as try to understand why she was this way. When she started solids all started to go well and she gained some weight but that soon changed when we realised we could not move her from purees to anything with lumps, pips or texture. She was diagnosed with textural adversity syndrome and things became even harder.
As adults we are aware that calcium is vital for our bone and teeth health, but did you know that kids and teenagers need it so much more?
When we are growing, calcium is needed to develop strong bones and teeth that will be with us for the rest of our lives, so it is extremely important for kids and teenagers to receive enough calcium while they are doing the vital job of building their bodies.
By the time we are 18 to 20 years old, our bone mass has developed to its full potential, so the amount of calcium received during our younger years then dictates what our bone health is like when we are older. Calcium doesn’t stop at helping us with bone and teeth development. It is also responsible for the maintenance of our immune system, helping our energy production and hormone release. Pretty amazing, right?

Colic is one of the huge challenges some parents of young babies face. Some babies don't have it, some have it mild, and others have severe colic, which can take a toll on the whole family.
So what is colic and why does it happen to babies?
Colic is a condition which produces gases in babies' gastrointestinal tract that is very sore to them. It usually doesn't last beyond four months old, and if it affects a baby, it happens around 4 to 6 weeks of their age.
There isn't a definite reason as to why it happens. Some doctors believe it comes from the baby's diet, others that it's from what the mother eats or what's in formula. Either way it isn't anyone's fault and unfortunately affects many families.
